Joventuts Musicals of Capdepera organized the first ”Serenates d´Estiu” in 1988. At that time, there wasn´t any other music festival in the Llevant´s region of the island and the musical offer was very poor. Since then, more concerts and festivals have appeared but in spite of this, the ”Serenates d´Estiu” are still being a point of reference in the island.
Joventuts Musicals of Capdepera is a non-profit organization where all people that work there are doing some tasks for the love of art, and they want to encourage people to attend concerts. The members of the association benefit from privileges, at the moment of reserving tickets, and special prices, important discounts for the concerts. Specially between the young people and students, also the tickets to the Festival for the childs members are free.
The “Serenates d´Estiu” want to offer an ambitious and assorted programme of instrumental and vocal music, combining different music styles (ancient music, chamber music, ethnic music, jazz...) with reknown artists, from Spain and other countries all over the world.
Moreover, the incomparable environment of Bartomeu March´s Foundation garden contributes to the fact that every concert be a unique opportunity to enjoy the music surrounded by a charming and magical place.
All together it has supposed that the “Serenates d´Estiu” have achieved its reknown musical prestige, becoming the most important music festival in our region and an event that all the music lovers and visitors can not miss.
