Simone Zanchini

Simone Zanchini is considered to be one of the most interesting and innovative accordionists of the international panorama. He is also a researcher of the sounds of the contemporary music, experimenting with the acoustic and electronic styles. The result is very special and particular very close to the improvisation world.
Eclectic artist, he has performed with groups of different styles: improvisation, contemporary jazz and classical music. There has taken part in numerous festivals as Clusone Jazz, Shady Festival, Tivoli Jazz, Berchidda JAzz, Sant'Anna Arresi, BArga Jazz, Gang Jazz, Vignola Jazz, Ravenna Festival, Rossini Opera Festival, Teggiano Jazz ... and in stages of Europe and Japan.
He collaborates with many great musicians of international reputation: Thomas Clausen, Gianluigi Trovesi, Javier Girotto, Paolo Fresu, Marco Tamburini, Massimo Manzi, Bruno Tommaso, Ettore Fioravanti, Mario Marzi, Michele Rabbia, Giovanni Maier,Tamara Obrovac, Krunoslav Levacic, Vasko Atanasovski, Antonello Salis, Han Bennink, Art Van Damme.
From 1999 Simone is the first accordionist of L'Ensemble Strumentale Scaligero of The La Scala of Milan, group with he has played all over the world.
Recently he has recorded two new compact discs: From Art to Morocco and Better Alone .
Better Alone is a project on which he experiments with the sonorous possibilities of the instrument across the use of an individual electric accordion.
