CINCO SIGLOS

Since 1990, date of their foundation, the group “CINCO SIGLOS” has been dedicated to the study and the promotion of the most unknown instrumental repertories of the antic music. During years, their work was based in the medieval age. The great number of concerts, the scientific publications and the recordings, have been the result of their work.
The concerts of CINCO SIGLOS (such as TRÍPTICO MEDIEVAL, DANZAS DE LA EDAD MEDIA EUROPEA, SONES DE SEFARAD, AIRES DEL BARROCO HISPÁNICO o JOTAS, SEGUIDILLAS Y FANDANGOS), have been performed successfully in the most prestigious European festivals: Royaumont, Chateau de la Roche-Guyon, Bolonia, Segovia, Torrechiara, Aranjuez, etc.

The recordings of great recognition form the public and the critics, have been: UNOS TAN DUL?ES SONES (1995), DANSE REAL (1996), MÚSICAS DE LA ESPA?A MUDÉJAR (1997), BEL FIORE DAN?A (1999), SONES DE SEFARAD (2001), IBAN TA?ENDO (2003), UNA DANZA A SONARE (2003), GLOSAS NUEVAS SOBRE VIEJAS DANZAS (2006) y SONES DE PALACIO, BAILES DE COMEDIAS (2008).

CINCO SIGLOS have done recordings for the radio and television, and they have collaborated in the last film of Carlos Saura “Iberia” (2005).
The investigations about repertoires, originals instruments, iconography, etc., have been translated into different publications of maximum prestige.
