FUKYO SAXOPHONE QUARTET
The saxophone quartet was borned in 2008 in the Superior Conservatory of the Barearic Island. Fukyo tries to show us all the saxophone possibilities including all the areas and styles.

The link between all their components is the ambition and the aim to succed. The components stand out as solists and in chamber music. A consequence of this fact is their short and intensive career in national and international scenes as well as for the recognition of their labour.

They have won the first prize in the II Chamber Music Contest "Villa de Coix" and the third prize in the " Concurso Internacional Yamaha de cuartetos de Saxofon".

Forthcoming they will offer us their first performance of "Doppelkonpf"- a work composed by Birke Bertelsmeier- in the XV Worl Saxophon Congress that has been celebrated in Bangkok (Tailandia).

Fukyo is in constant evolution. The saxophon outline a path where old music components are mixted with the contemporary ones,diving throug the sounds of the different philosofies and social and cultural movements.
